Plan Your Fall Getaway 2017 to La Conner

Delight in The Wonder of Another La Conner Autumn

Locals as well as newcomers to La Conner would likely agree that the September and October time of year is truly a unique and special season in Western Washington. While the entire state of Washington enjoys some of the best weather during the fall including amazing food and fun events, La Conner is especially intriguing and inviting. Best of all, celebrating autumn in La Conner is easy to do if you simply know where to look.

Get Ready to Garden

For example, partaking in gardening classes is a great way to embrace all that the fall has to offer in this unique region of western Washington. On September 9 and the 16th classes are offered through Christenson’s Nursery. Classes typically start in the morning and go until noon. Contact the Nursery for more information. In addition, let’s not forget about the Annual Textile Stash. This is a fun opportunity to purchase a variety of textiles. The event takes place from 5 PM to 7:30 PM at Vintage La Conner. Browse among wearable art, fabric, fibers, yarn and a variety of equipment and supplies commonly used in crafting textiles. Even patterns and books can be purchased at Vintage La Conner and the annual textile sale.

The end of September also means that the whole family can enjoy the popular Pumpkin Fest also put on by Christianson’s Nursery. This event takes place from 11 AM to 3 PM on September 30 and is a must attend for those with young children. With fall in the air, pumpkins abound and the fun never ends in friendly La Conner Washington.  In October, there is the 20th anniversary festival of the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum. This event takes place from October 6-8 and is open to the public from 10 AM to 5 PM daily.

Truly a Great Part of Washington State

Equally impressive is the Festival of Family Farms occurring from October 7th to the 8th. More information on the Festival of Family Farms event can be found here: www.festivaloffamilyfarms.com. La Conner is really a special community in Washington State that is just over an hour north of Seattle and perhaps 45 minutes south of Bellingham Washington. Plan to visit if you are in the area.

Fundraisers, dinners, live music, breweries and art forums as well as festivals and virtually any other kind of interesting Pacific Northwest event can likely be found in this welcoming and inviting corner of the world. Mark your calendar for the September and October timeframe in La Conner Washington this year. It’s a fun time for everyone that you simply won’t want to miss as 2017 quickly comes to a close.
