The Grapes of Daff 2018

grapes_of_daffWith daffodils blooming and spring in the air, the La Conner Daffodil Festival is a great spring destination for wine tasting! Join us on Saturday March 10th at Maple hall for the “Grapes of Daff”! 

This is your opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine and learn about wine & daffodils.  Featuring Bri Ewing from Washington State University talking about the state of wine in Washington compared to other regions, wineries in Skagit County, how wine is made and the steps for a sensory evaluation along with a guided wine evaluation. The wine being served is “La Conner Library Wine”! The red is a Cab Franc and the white is a Viognier with a bit of Riesling. Produced by Dave Stephenson of Stephenson Cellars in Walla Walla. 

Heather Carter the executive director of the La Conner Chamber will be sharing information about our Skagit Daffodils and a slide show of beautiful images collected from previous year’s photo contests.

La Conner Kiwanis will be on and selling fresh cut daffodil stems too.

 

Tickets are just $5.00 and include your glass of wine (must be 21+ to attend).  

Registration will open at 4pm and tickets will be available to purchase at the door – See you Saturday!
