La Conner Volunteer Wins Award!

Our La Conner Visitor Information Center volunteer Chelsea Dacres-Andrews was recently recognized by her company for her community service, earning a $200.00 donation to the chamber!

Here’s a little more about Chelsea –

“I live in La Conner with my husband Kevin and two children Jude and Fern and our three pets. I grew up in Stanwood and have a BA from WWU in Art History and an MA in Art History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I was the Collections Manager at the Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner 1999-2002 then taught Art History at the college-level in Massachusetts before becoming an appraiser in 2008.

I’m a Certified Appraiser who specializes in Art and Antiques. I started volunteering at the Visitor Center in December 2013 and have recently started a blog that focuses on local events and travel destinations.”
