Staying at our Guest Docks? Check out the new Town Banners!

2013 Street Banner PosterBoaters often tell us that they love coming to La Conner – the sight of the rainbow bridge, the historic buildings along the waterfront, and the friendly people at the La Conner Marina guest docks all come together to make a perfect stopping spot.

Now, our boating guests will be greeted by 18 beautiful and colorful banners along Morris Street, representing the 18 annual events that take place in La Conner.

Each banner represents a community event and are installed by month; January starts at Key Bank at the east end of Morris Street and December hangs in Gilkey Square.

Get out your camera, and take a walk along Morris to view all 18 of these wonderful banners! And make note of events that you’d like to return for … while you may not want to visit La Conner in the dead of winter on your boat, we’re just a short drive or ferry ride/drive for most Northwest boaters.

Banners include:

January: Gathering of Native Artists hosted by Skagit County Historical Museum, February: Smelt Derby hosted by Rotary Club of La Conner
March: MoNA Style hosted by Museum of Northwest Art and Stashfest hosted by La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum

Hello – Thank you for organizing a La Conner Christmas Getaway! We are sorry about the confusion of dates! The current dates can be found on the events calendar. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Could you please let me know what the dates are for the following in 2014: Lighted Boat Parade, Community Christmas Tree Lighting, Gallery Art Walk & Open Houses, Carolers. I have advertised a La Conner Christmas Getaway for our Camano Center members this December, based on dates that I just discovered were for 2013, since the information on the website I was using was out of date. I need to know the correct dates for these events, if they are happening again this year by November 10, in order to post corrections in the December newsletter.
