Salted Grape Bistro Offers Exceptional Food & Wine

UPDATE:  Salted Grape is permanently closed.

Salted Grape Bistro

Leslie Grover and Nathan Salter opened Salted Grape Bistro this year in La Conner with a wealth of experience.  Nathan has been a chef for over 20 years, while Leslie was a Food & Beverage Director for years before going exclusively to wine after having their daughter. In 2016, Leslie and Nathan opened a cafe in Bothell.  When their lease was up, Leslie & Nathan decided to move The Salted Grape to La Conner. “We have always loved La Conner, and when we saw the space, we knew it was our next step,” says Leslie.

The Salted Grape offers exceptional food and wine in an approachable setting where customers feel welcomed and comfortable.  You will see many local items on the menu as they work hard at sourcing locally.  “The Skagit Valley has such amazing farmers and producers!” says Leslie.  They also procure pasta from the Bellingham Pasta Co.   On weekends you will see specials on the menu, including halibut, which is always popular.

With Leslie’s extensive experience in the wine industry, you can always expect an exciting wine list. “Introducing people to new wines and flavor combinations is fun and exciting,” says Leslie. And Nathan enjoys finding new ways to use an ingredient in a dish. Leslie and Nathan like to have fun with their food and wine. “We prefer interesting over perfect, and we want you to think about a flavor profile or combination you had and can’t get out of your head,” says Leslie.

If you are adventurous with food and wine and love learning and trying something different and interesting, then be sure to make a reservation at The Salted Grape!  Take note of the new pork chop with Madeira Demi, mushrooms, and apples on the menu along with an Osso Bucco Ravioli!  The Salted Grape is now available for private parties too.
