Get ready folks because it’s almost time for the 2017 Turkey Trot event in beautiful La Conner Washington. This is a fun and exciting event that simply should not be missed. The 11th annual La Conner Turkey Trot is a popular hometown run that will occur on this upcoming 2017 Thanksgiving morning. Taking place in the remarkably beautiful waterfront town of La Conner and hosted by the Chamber of Commerce, this is a yearly event that is well worth considering.

Help Youth To Be More Successful

Best of all, the event benefits the La Conner Braves Track & Field Booster Club. This is important because the funds generated by the event help to supply student athletes with equipment and other essentials needed to help our youth to be more successful. Considered a truly great family event, it is an ideal way to provide youngsters with added opportunities while also being able to enjoy a delicious holiday meal. The event begins and ends at the La Conner high school.

Raffle Tickets Can Be Purchased For a Dollar Each

The routing is unique and loops and turns throughout the streets and parks of lovely La Conner. Attendees can expect great prizes for those who finish in the top three. Along with prizes for winners there are also raffles that will take place and as such a number of great prizes will be given out to several lucky people in attendance. Raffle tickets can be purchased for a dollar each while those participating in the event will automatically receive one free raffle ticket at time of registration. Plan to attend the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot on Thursday, November 23, 2017.

Wear Thanksgiving Inspired Clothing

Registration opens up early at 6:30 AM where attendees can pick up a T-shirt as well as a bib and sign waiver. The actual race starts at 8 AM. The racecourse is clearly marked throughout downtown La Conner. There will be post race refreshments and a raffle and those looking for parking will find ample spots in the La Conner elementary school and high school parking lots. If you plan on being in attendance it might be a good idea to wear Thanksgiving inspired clothing as a way to add to the fun and excitement.
