La Conner Marina Hires New Office Supervisor

Welcome Chris Carlile, La Conner Marina’s new Office Supervisor.
Chris brings an extensive background in marina operations and marine law to the position. She started work on Nov. 26.

“Salt water runs in my veins,” Carlile said. “I’m ecstatic to be part of the team here at the marina.”

Carlile’s resume includes 22 years with the Port of Bellingham, where she served as the office supervisor at Squalicum Harbor from 1984 to 1994. Most recently, she worked on contracts and grants for the Skagit County Public Works Department.

A graduate of Port Townsend High School, Carlile attended Peninsula College and Western Washington University. She also has completed courses in grants and contract administration from the American Public Works Association, the Washington Finance Officers Association, the Washington State Department of Transportation and the Emergency Management Institute.

A Sedro-Woolley resident, Carlile enjoys boating and crafts, and she also is active in Skagit and Whatcom Backcountry Horsemen of Washington.
