Join us on Halloween Day – October 31, 2015 for this Halloween inspired, quintessentially Northwest bike ride event!
Did you know that what we today commonly call a bicycle, was dubbed as the ‘bone shaker’ way back in 1869? It got that name because it was made of wood and had metal tires … and that combination on cobblestone roads made for an extremely uncomfortable ride.
Pull out your Boneshaker (we hope it’s more comfortable!), and put on your costume to join the crowd of creepy creatures on this unique cycling event.
Enjoy views of the countryside and beautiful Cascade mountains as you pedal off 100 kilometers of this metric century on mostly flat, comfortable roads.
The mass start will begin at the Channel Lodge in the historic waterside town of La Conner.
With special offers, entertainment, and a great staff to help you. You’ll find this a spooktacular biking event for everyone!
Click here for more information and dates … we’ll also keep information posted on this event page as well.
Another great way to join in the excitement and fun it to become a fan on The Boneshaker Bicycle Festival Facebook page!
Boneshaker Bicycle Festival – Plan Your Trip
We recommend that you plan ahead; if you’re staying overnight you will want to make reservations at one of La Conner’s lodging establishments. You’ll be centrally located and within a few minutes of all of the fun – you’ll also find it easy to shop in our many specialty stores and dine at one of our amazing restaurants.
Whether you’re a bicycle enthusiast or in need of a active fall getaway for two or a group of family or friends, or are looking for fun kids’ activities before the weather turns wintry, check out our website www.lovelaconner.com, the Love La Conner FB Page, or call the La Conner Visitor Center at 360-466-3735/888-642-9248 for more information.
