Coming May 31: The La Conner Spaghetti Sauce Taste-Off!

What do spaghetti sauce and flowers have in common? Well, in La Conner, one is the means to the other!

On Thursday, May 31, from 4:30pm-7:30pm, La Conner will again host the popular Spaghetti Sauce Taste-Off, which is a fundraiser for the beautiful hanging flower baskets that line Morris and First Streets from May through August each year. The money raised helps offset the purchase and watering of the plants.

Here’s how it works: sauces are contributed by area restaurants and the La Conner School Culinary class. Desserts are contributed by local bakeries and the La Conner School. You vote on your favorite sauce and are given a ‘ticket’, which you present to the servers. In return, you receive a full spaghetti dinner, complete with your favorite sauce.

In addition to the spaghetti dinner, there is a silent auction where you can bid on a variety of donations from the business community and community members.
