If you have kids and your kids love to skateboard, or if you are a skateboarder yourself, then you definitely need to visit the La Conner Swinomish Skateboard Park, located at the north end of 6th Street, near the La Conner School District properties.

A collaborative effort between the Town of La Conner, the Swinomish Tribe and a lot of community fundraising, the park is being hailed as one of the best skateboard parks in Northwest Washington. In the true meaning of ‘community’ the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was organized by the La Conner Senior Center; skate boarders and spectators went through 110 hot dogs, 4 gallons of ice cream and 10 gallons of lemonade. As one skateboard enthusiast remarked at the ceremony, “La Conner Seniors rock!”

Details:

  • Helmets and safety gear are recommended for all
  • No Scooters, Bikes with Pegs or any Equipment or activity that would cause a danger to others or damage to the Park
  • No Alcohol, Drugs or Tobacco use including cigarettes, cigars or chewing tobacco

Hours of operation: Open Monday through Sunday 8:00am to Dusk (Closed during School Hours)
