Lighted Christmas Boat Parade Update: Event Canceled Due to Safety Concerns — But La Conner Is Open and Welcoming Visitors
The annual Lighted Christmas Boat Parade is one of La Conner’s most cherished holiday traditions, and like so many of you, we were eagerly looking forward to a festive night along the Swinomish Channel.
However, due to recent flooding and the increased potential for debris in the water, the Swinomish Yacht Club has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 parade.
They shared:
“We have decided to cancel the parade at this time. While we look forward to the parade every year, both the public and participants’ safety is the most important thing to consider. We might try and reschedule but will wait to see how bad the flooding is.”
Safety comes first—and we appreciate their care for the community, spectators, and boaters.
La Conner Is Still Open, Festive, and Ready to Welcome You
