Mystic Artists of The Northwest

In fact, some rather eclectic artists were actually profiled in the 1950s in the popular magazine “Life.” The title of the magazine article was simply “Mystic Artists of the Northwest.” The article is a window into the world of the unique and clever art found throughout this incredible part of Washington State. With multiple art museums in the area such as The Museum of Northwest Art, The Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum and The Skagit County Historical Museum, art abounds in La Conner.

Wine Tasting & Happening Around La Conner

La Conner also has a lot happening with local businesses during the same weekend that the Art’s Alive event is taking place. For example, Christianson’s Nursery will feature an annual holiday open house during the same dates of the Art’s Alive event. Christianson’s Nursery offers this free of charge and makes it open to the public. The Christianson’s Nursery festivities include wine tasting, shopping and a number of featured artists from the local area. Those who enjoy art and the natural beauty of Washington State will truly appreciate this great experience and the pleasure of spending the night taking it all in.
