Boating in the San Juans and Fabulous Quilts – Together in La Conner!

Gather the important women in your life, hop on your boat, and come to La Conner in September for a girls boating-getaway weekend full of color and art! During the month of September the La Conner Quilt and Textile Museum holds their annual Quilt Walk 2013 – an opportunity for you to stroll through the unique shops in La Conner and view stunning quilts featuring the expertise of EverGreen Quilters. You’ll find traditional quilts, as well as pieced, appliqued, contemporary, embellished and stained-glass techniques.

Quilt Walk tour maps will be available September 1 at the museum and at participating shops; as soon as they are ready we’ll also post the Quilt Walk map here on our website.  (Note: Exhibit hours vary by shop.)

What makes this quilt walk so wonderful is that because it’s located in the heart of town, you can come for an overnight stay, park your car (if you are staying in La Conner) and never have to drive again until it’s time for you to go home.

And don’t forget that in La Conner in September, our restaurants pull out all the stops in using fresh local produce and seafood from our local farm stands and fishermen – be sure to ask ‘what’s local on the menu tonight’!
