Handcrafted Home Goods at The Cusp Apothecary

A glittered haven housing things to spark joy is how Stephanie Sherman, owner of The Cusp Apothecary, describes her new boutique in the La Conner waterfront Pier 7 historic building.  “I make most of the things you’ll find at The Cusp, from the locally sourced soy and beeswax for candles; to the nature-inspired art,” says Stephanie.

Stephanie also carries items that she personally shops for. “I don’t use a buyer or a marketing group to source items, rather I have unique finds with a kitschy feel.”  Stephanie gives an example of her classic blue and white French print kitchen towels but with a twist–hidden ringtail lemurs!  Stephanie’s goal is for you to find the magic in the unexpected.

Quality, Service, Value

The first thing you will notice when shopping at The Cusp is the high quality of products and affordable prices. “My prices are fair, I’m happy to take care of my clients, I do my very best to make sure that I provide a product that is as good or better than the big mall name brands,” says Stephanie.  A recent five-star review commented, “Love it! Amazing, unique, handmade gifts. I love everything in this store.”

DIY Classes

Stephanie is excited to start offering DIY classes for making your own candle and wax melts.  Be sure to follow The Cusp on Facebook and Instagram for the latest classes and dates.  Stephanie has done a year of craft shows before the pandemic and is excited to grow The Cusp with this new retail La Conner location.

When asked what is the most fun part of her work, Stephanie replied:

I’m getting to wake up and be creative every day, and not only that, I’m able to fill a purpose make other people happy while doing so. That’s the best feeling in the world.
