La Conner High School Band Needs Our Help

Dear La Conner community and music lovers,
The La Conner Band Wants Your Help!

The La Conner High School Band is a class at our school that has members from 9^th to 12^th grade, working together to make music.  We are a growing ensemble and are adding new events to our calendar every year.  As we get out into the national band scene, we will be representing and promoting our school, town and community, and you can help us.

Last year we played in the Pacific Northwest Festival of Bands (at UW), the San Juan Music Educators Festival (at WWU) and marched for the first time in the Wenatchee Apple Blossom Festival Grand Parade.  This year we are planning to add performances on a national stage by entering the Music in the Parks Festival in Anaheim, California, and are in the process of planning for a festival in Hawaii in 2014.

Here is where you come in:
We are currently raising money to keep the cost to our students and families down, and need your help.  Our goal is to raise $10,000 by next spring, that will cover our travel to California and get us a good start on our trip to Hawaii.  We have a variety of activities and performances to raise this money, but ultimately it is the support of you, our community, that will make our plans possible.  Every donation from you will help us get closer to that goal.  Support your local band by making a donation today!  With your help, people all over the country will be talking about La Conner and our community’s support for the arts.
