Skagit Valley Historical Museum Presents … Peak of Their Professions: The Murrow Brothers

Peak of Their Professions: The Murrow Brothers exhibit. This may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience and learn more about the extraordinary lives of 3 of Skagit County’s most famous and globally recognized residents  – the Murrow Brothers. Edward R., Lacey V., and Dewey Murrow grew up in Blanchard, WA, attended Edison High School, and went on to be masters in their respective careers.  In partnership with the Washington State Department of Transportation the Skagit Valley Historical Museum presents an exhibit on their extraordinary lives.

Opening Gala Thursday, May 10th at 5:30pm. Edward R. and his older brothers Lacey and Dewey all were raised in Skagit County, graduated from Edison High School and attended Washington State College.  A special event presented by the Museum and Washington State University alumni. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum.

Presentation: Sunday, May 20th, 2pm Craig Holstine of WSDOT discusses the brothers’ remarkable accomplishments and personal values.

Movie:  Sunday, June 24th, 5:30pm “Good Night and Good Luck” will show at the Historic Lincoln Theatre and a panel discussion about Edward R Murrow’s battle against McCarthyism.
