We love holidays in La Conner! It’s chilly out and time for warm clothes, gloves, and hats, the water is beautiful with colorful reflected lights, and our tiny little town becomes a pretty magical place.
For us, the holidays really start on Thanksgiving and our annual Turkey Trot run. It’s a great way to burn calories BEFORE you eat your Thanksgiving dinner … and a great way to have some fun before football games and pumpkin pie. Once Thanksgiving is over, we always have a wide variety of holiday options for you. From shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts to a great lunch or dinner and cocoa nightcap to a romantic weekend, you’ll find La Conner a perfect place to hang out.
As December arrives, we invite you to all the holiday events in La Conner – it’s fun for the whole family! Bring your kids, bring your grandkids, and be sure to take lots of photos.
You’ll find an opportunity to meet Santa, our annual community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, Jingle Belles (a ladies night of shopping) ,an annual craft bazaar and other options including concerts, museum exhibits and family fun including carriage rides.
Not to be missed is our annual lighted boat parade; the Swinomish Channel is aglow with gorgeously reflected colors of the many decorated boats – there are viewing points all along the channel either outside on the boardwalk or inside many of our restaurants.
