Support Our Local Businesses in these Unprecedented Times! Tiny Town w. a Big Heart

We all love La Conner AND our local businesses!  Operating on thin margins, with many businesses cash reserve low after stocking up for the highest tourism month of the year (Tulip Festival), COVID-19 is a devasting development.

We are incredibly lucky to have this many restaurants, shops, and museums in our tiny town.  Please support our local businesses in these unprecedented times.  We will keep this list updated to easily see who offers takeout and curbside delivery.

Now more than ever, they need your help and support. Retail & Services:  you can buy gift cards now and use them later, shop through their on-line stores.  Help these businesses make it through this crisis.  And why not get your holiday shopping done now?!  Who doesn’t love a gift card as a gift?! I want to spend a few hours walking the downtown on Saturday, 3/21. Will I be able to get coffee, enjoy lunch and walk into businesses along 1st Street during this COVID-19 pandemic?

We love and support all of our local business as much as we can, but in these times of uncertainty the right thing to do would be to ask people not to come from out of town. Town was too busy this weekend, and almost everyone was stopping in to the pioneer market, and I doubt they think about the fact that half of our towns residents are in the high risk percentile of people to get seriously sick or die from this. What about the wonderful staff at pioneer market who have to go in to work and worry that any one of the hundreds of people coming up to “escape” the outbreak in Seattle could seriously affect the health of many of our wonderful towns residents. Please be more thoughtful in your promotion of tourism at this point in time.
