Art’s Alive 2018 – Celebrating 34 Years November 9-11!

arts_alive_2018The Art’s Alive weekend begins with an artists’ reception at Maple Hall, 104 Commercial St. Nov. 9th, 5 – 9 pm. Listen to live music beginning with Ben Starner, classic pianist, opening for Brian Lee & the Orbiters (old school jazz and blues). There will be appetizers from our local restaurants, and Skagit Cellars will be pouring wine for a donation. 

Maple Hall will be featuring 14 invitational artists in various mediums along with an Open Show with 60 local artists showing and selling. Live demonstrations by artist and live music performances will be at Maple Hall and throughout town in 15 different locations on Morris St. and First and Second St. You will find the locations and attractions in the Art’s Alive brochure at Maple Hall, the Chamber Visitor Center, and participating businesses, galleries and museums who will have Art’s Alive banners hanging in front of their establishments.

New for Art’s Alive this year is a Student Art Show & Exhibition at La Conner’s Pop-up Gallery located in the Tillinghast Seeds Complex at 623 Morris St., where high school students in the Skagit Valley will be our featured emerging artist. There will be an artist reception on Sat. Nov. 10th from 3 to 5 pm with The Legacy Combo Band playing jazz. Students from three high schools in the valley make up this band ensemble. Come and support Skagit Valley’s emerging artist!
