La Conner Marina Location

The La Conner Marina is nestled along with the Swinomish Channel to the west and the agricultural lands of the fertile Skagit Valley to the east.  Within walking distance of the charming and historic town of La Conner, the La Conner Marina is an excellent location for those looking for a getaway.  “We offer golf cart rides into town in the summertime so our visiting guests can shop, dine and explore around downtown La Conner, and it’s only a two-hour cruise from the La Conner Marina to the San Juan Islands,” says Tyler.  Thousands of commercial and recreational boaters travel through the Swinomish Channel each year, supporting tourism and maritime industry throughout the region.

La Conner Marina History

The Port of Skagit was created in 1964 by Skagit County voters, who recognized the need for an entity that would focus efforts on bringing economic development opportunities and job creation to our community.  In 1968, the Port purchased 50 acres to construct the La Conner Marina, a much-needed small-boat harbor to serve maritime traffic through the Swinomish Channel and marine industries.  The La Conner Marina services recreational boaters, commercial fishers, and marine-related businesses and manufacturers today. That diverse group makes running the La Conner Marina interesting and fun.  “All of the different users of this area, from recreational boaters, commercial fisherman, businesses, guests, and visitors, make the marina a fun and happening place!” says Tyler.

They were able to Lift the 80 + foot Liberty right out of the water and make repairs that were needed. I would recommend them for your repair work. ~ Haywood S.

Reserve Early for Summer and Event Weekends

The La Conner Marina had its busiest two years during the pandemic, as people were looking for a fun and enjoyable place to visit.  “We anticipate another busy year with many new and returning guests to our marina, RV park, and town,” says Tyler.  Be sure to reserve spots early in the RV Park or on the guest docks during popular community events like the Daffodil Festival, Tulip Festival, La Conner Guitar Festival, Summer Concert Series, 4th of July, Classic Boat & Car Show, and the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade.
