There’s something really special about summertime on a boat – there’s something even more special about sitting on your boat, gently bobbing to and fro, and watching a really terrific fireworks show!
If you’ve never stayed at the guest docks at the La Conner Marina over the July 4th holiday, you’re missing out on a very fun trip!
At noon, the town goes all out for a rollicking, fun, and oh-so-whimsical parade … complete with kids and dogs and antique cars and patriotic spirit … bring your flag to wave and join in the fun!
After the parade, join the town for their July 4th picnic at Pioneer Park. Kiwanis of La Conner will be selling hot dogs, chips and soda – or bring your own picnic and spend the afternoon along the Swinomish Channel.
After all that fun, you might need a nap – because come dark the fireworks show begins! You can stay on your boat if you want – but many people find that walking up to town and joining others at several public viewing spots makes it all the more fun!
So – bring your red, white and blue, and your stars and stripes attire, and join us in La Conner for July 4th!
